Orientation Day – Session 2022 – 2023
Cambridge World School organized an Orientation Programme for the New Academic Session 2022-2023 on 2nd April 2022.
The Session started with a welcome note, the school anthem was played. The aim was to familiarise the parents as ‘ Partners in progress’, with the curriculum, rules and regulation of the school, teaching methodologies and the co-scholastic activities which provided the parents with an assurance that our curriculum involves hand on learning activities which not only are a vent to the creative talents and energise of the children but also helps in their all-round development. A special interactive session for the parents was conducted by Dr. Bharka Shorey a highly qualified, and renowned a child occupational therapist in dealing with special learning abilities. The orientation programme ended on a pleasant note with an aim of grooming our children into happy, skillful and creatively well adjust citizens.

Celebrating Baisakhi and Ambedkar Jayanti
The spring festival of Baisakhi was celebrated with immense joy on 13th April 2022 by the Nursery Class students. Our tiny tots were dressed up in traditional attire and performed bhangra adding to the festivities. They were informed about the significance of the harvesting festival. A craft Activity of making a Kite was done by our tiny tots. The children made beautiful kites and decorated them with stars and glitters. Also to commemorate Dr. Ambedkar’s Birth Anniversary a few students spoke about Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the founder of our Constitution.

Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was an Advocate, a Politician, an Economist and A Social Activist. Every year 14th April is marked as his birth anniversary. The students of Class 1 were made to understand the significance of celebrating the birthday of this great leader. The children were encouraged to speak about Dr. Ambedkar also. Overall, it was an enlightening experience for the tiny tots.
The students of celebrated Baisakhi with full fervour and gaiety. The tiny tots were dressed in colourful Punjabi attire and enjoyed dancing with their friends to the popular Punjabi folk music. Students had fun splashing colours on sheets and made beautiful drawings. The students concluded the celebration by sharing sweets amongst themselves.


Importance of celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar and his contributions were shared amongst the children of Class 3. The children were enlightened about the Constitution of India in an age appropriate manner that was integrated with the civic awareness program to follow the rules of our country. Students took active participation in celebrating Ambedkar Jayanti by preparing a photo collage of Dr. Ambedkar.
Baisakhi was celebrated with fervour and gaiety. The festival of harvest was celebrated to acquaint students with cultural heritage. The children participated in creating a Baisakhi inspired Art Scene.


Baisakhi is a popular festival of the Hindus and Sikhs and is celebrated to mark the harvesting of the first summer crop. It is celebrated in the month of April every year and the students of Class 4 celebrated this day with the same zeal and enthusiasm. In a craft activity they children made a “Kanga” Comb using icecream sticks to add grace to the day.
Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated to mark the Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. This day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm by students of Class 4, where they were told about his contribution to the country. Further students were told how he worked diligently towards the betterment of Dalits in the country. To make this day memorable students wrote wonderful quotations to remind everyone about his sayings and his beliefs.


To pay tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, on the occasion of his Birth Anniversary, the student of Class 5 recited his quotes and spoke on his teachings. The students also wrote slogans to commemorate the day and also how Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s teachings can help us in our daily lives.
Baisakhi, the Harvest festival, was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm by the students of class 5. The children were explained about the importance of the festival by showcasing Punjabi culture. The student made a scene depicting the festival and also spoke about it. The children were totally involved in the festive spirit. They were apprised about the significance of the festival.


Celebrating World Heritage Day
World Heritage day is celebrated on 18th April every year in order to generate more awareness about preserving the history of world sites and monuments. The Nursery Class students were informed about the names of different monuments of the world and their importance in the class and they were shown the videos of the same. The children were excited to learn about the history of the monuments.

“Our cultural and natural heritage are both irreplaceable sources of life and inspiration. They are our reference and our identity“. World Heritage day was celebrated by students of Class 1 to raise the awareness about preserving human heritage and diversity of the world’s monuments.

The students of Class 3 were enlightened about the value and significance the Nation’s Heritage holds. Children were familiarized with the rich cultural heritage we have, along with the existing diversification worldwide, and how we need to work towards protecting and conserving it. The children participated in an activity in which they showcased their favourite monument and shared ways to conserve and protect the National Heritage.

World Heritage day is celebrated to spread awareness of our rich cultural diversity and the importance of preserving our ancient heritage. The purpose of celebrating this day was shared with students of Class 4 to make them aware about their responsibility to carry forward the legacy and preserve our culture. To make it a day of remembrance the students made colourful posters of their favourite monument.

The students of Class 5 celebrated World Heritage Day and raised awareness about preserving our heritage sites. To convey their message to everyone they made posters and spoke slogans. The students enjoyed the activity of Making a Bookmark related to Heritage Monuments.

Celebrating Earth Day
Earth Day is an annual event, celebrated on April 22nd. It was first celebrated in 1970. Earth Day inspires us to act towards the protection of the environment and focus on the need for conservation. The students of Class 1 celebrated Earth Day by creating a beautiful tree and decorating it with all the essential items that we get from plants.

With the help of ‘Constructive Activities’, the students of Class 3 enthusiastically participated in various activities to commemorate our benevolent ‘Mother Earth’ On the occasion of the Earth Day, creative activities were organized with a view to motivate children to do their bit towards making their planet even more beautiful. The importance of the Earth Day was discussed and the students took a pledge to preserve and conserve their self-sustaining planet.

Go green and make our Earth a beautiful place to live.
Earth Day was celebrated on 22nd April with full zeal and enthusiasm by students of Class 4. Adding on there was a discussion regarding the need to keep our earth neat and clean for future generations. The students made colourful cards to remind everyone to celebrate Earth day not only today but everyday.

The students of Class 5 celebrated “Earth Day” on 22nd April with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root level. To mark this day and to emphasize upon the need to save trees, Students took part in a Slogan Speaking Activity and made beautiful posters based on “SAVE EARTH” and “GO GREEN”.
