Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with joy and religious fervour on August 23, 2024at SKZ. Adorned as Radha and Krishna, the little ones added a delightful traditional touch to the festivities as they danced to the lively beats of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with joy and festive spirit. Unleashing their creativity, the students showcased their artistic skills by beautifully decorating a Dahi Handi (Matki) which is an iconic symbol related to Lord Krishna. Some students also narrated stories about Lord Krishna. The teachers engaged the class in a meaningful discussion about Lord Krishna’s life and his valuable teachings, imparting valuable wisdom to the young minds.

SKZians marked the joyous occasion of Raksha Bandhan by donning vibrant and colorful attire, setting the tone for a festive celebration. The significance of this special day was thoughtfully explained to the young learners, helping them understand the importance of the bond between brothers and sisters. With creativity and excitement, the students crafted beautiful rakhis using an array of decorative materials like threads, stars, mirrors, and pearls. The girls then lovingly tied rakhis on the boys’ wrists, symbolizing their love and protection. Some girls also made beautiful paper purses for keeping their Rakhi money. In return, the boys showered the girls with small gifts, tokens of affection and appreciation. The event was celebrated with unbridled enthusiasm and zeal, filling the atmosphere with warmth and joy. The students’ infectious energy made the celebration a memorable one, cherishing the spirit of Raksha Bandhan.

Our Nation’s 78th Independence Day was celebrated with joy, happiness and patriotism. The students of Classes 3 and 5 presented vibrant dance perfromance on patriotic songs which were enjoyed and appreciated by everyone. To celebrate this special day some children came dressed as national leaders, freedom fighters and soldiers, while others came dressed in tri-coloured themed attire. The students participated in various activities which included creating the National Flag using cut and paste, making a National wall decorated with Lotus flowers. The students were shown videos on India’s Independence. The entire school premises reverbrated with Jai Hind and Vande Mataram.
