Celebrating Mahashivratri
Maha Shivratri was celebrated with great enthusiasm and religious fervor at Cambridge World School. The School was decorated beautifully and the kids of the Nursery and Prep Classes chanted Om Namah Shivaya with a lot of devotion. The kids coloured the picture of Shivling and came in beautiful attire of Lord Shiva, Mata Parvati and Lord Ganesha. They enjoyed a lot and enlightened and energized everyone spiritually.

The festival of Mahashivratri, a popular Hindu festival celebrated in reverence of Lord Shiva, was celebrated with full devotion and sanctity by the students of Class 1. Some children came dressed as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The students were filled with the spiritual fervour on the occasion and participated in a craft activity in which they drew and coloured the Shivling .The celebrations concluded with the students enjoying sweets in the class.

Mahashivratri, “The Great Night of Shiva” is a night of special spiritual significance, symbolizing the overcoming of darkness and ignorance. The students of Class 2 celebrated Maha Shivratri with full devotion and sanctity. The tiny tots were dressed up in beautiful attires. They made beautiful Shiva posters and spoke on the importance of Shivratri. All the students and teachers were filled with the spiritual fervour on the occasion and brimmed with joy and love for God.

Shivratri – the festival celebrating the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati infuses the spirit of devotion and dedication among the Hindus. It is one of the auspicious festivals of Hindus which is celebrated with zeal and zest all over India and other parts of the world. Mahashivratri is called the great night of Lord Shiva. The students of Class 3 came to School in beautiful attire. In a craft activity the students made a damru using disposable glasses and thread. The students also enjoyed a story related to Maha Shivaratri.

Mahashivratri also called the Great Night of Lord Shiva, was celebrated with zeal by the students of Class 4. To celebrate the occasion, the students made a Trishul using red paper and decorated it with beautiful beads. They were enthusiastic and devoted on the occasion.

Some students came dressed as Lord Shiva, Maa Parvati and their devotees. They made beautiful Shivling by using black and white paper, red and golden bindis. Later they shared sweets with each other. Students and the teachers were filled with the spiritual fervor on the occasion.
