Eid-Ul-Fitr Celebrations

Our little ones of Nursery & Prep Classes the celebrated Eid with joy and happiness all around on 2nd May 2022. They were all dressed in traditional Muslim attire and were informed about the purpose of celebrating Eid as this festival celebrates birthday of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. They drew and coloured a drawing of a Mosque and were also shown the video regarding Eid.

Eid, the festival that upholds the spirit of brotherhood, love and secularism, was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the students of Class 1. The students were dressed beautifully in traditional attire. Various activities were organized to commemorate the teachings and learning of the festival were organized for the children. One such activity was to dance to the song ‘Eid Mubarak’. They also did an art activity. They understood the meaning of ‘Sacrifice’ with the help of a presentation presented during the celebration. It was a memorable event as children had a beautiful time together and they realized the meaning of harmony and brotherhood by wishing ‘Eid Mubarak’ to each other at the end.

Eid-Ul-Fitr is the festival of prayer, joy, happiness, and brotherhood. The students of Class 2 celebrated Eid with great fervour and excitement. Activity of Sevaiya Making was conducted  for the students and they were informed of the importance of this Special festive dessert that is prepared during the Eid-ul-Fitr. All the students enjoyed the delicacy.

Eid-Ul-fitr was celebrated to enlighten the students about the spirit of the festival, symbolizing the unity in our community . In our multicultural society we need to instill and enforce the universal values of brotherhood, tolerance, peace, compassion, and solidarity in our children. To celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the students of Class 3 made a Wall hanging of the Moon and stars.

Eid-Ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting, and is celebrated during the first three days of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar. The students of Class 4 were informed of the importance of this day through a video. To add glitters to the festival students tried their hands on craft work of making stars and moon on paper plates. In addition, their traditional attire made this day a day of remembrance.

Eid-Ul-Fitr is a popular festival celebrated by Muslims. The Class 5 students celebrated this festival with pomp and show, zeal and gusto. The celebration of Eid promotes national integration and the feeling of brotherhood. Students made beautiful cards and spoke slogans on Eid. It gave messages to students to love all and hate none.
