Celebrating Guru Nanak Jayanti
Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Kartik. The Nursery and Prep classes celebrated the auspicious occasion on 4th November 22. To observe the occasion the students came dressed in traditional Sikh attire. The morning assembly commenced, with the chanting of the “Mool Mantra” by the students and the teachers. Kadha Prasad was also distributed amongst the children.


The students of Class 1 celebrated Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Gurpurab with great enthusiasm. The unique feature of the program was a speech and ‘shabads’ which were sung by the students with great spirituality. A small activity of decorating the Ek Omkar symbol with different edibles was done in the class. The children spoke about Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life and his teachings. Lastly they had Kadha Prasad.

Guru Nanak Jayanti is celebrated to mark the birth of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and is celebrated with great zeal in India. The students of Class 2 were told about the principles and teachings of the pious soul, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Videos on his life and spiritual journey were played for the students which reiterated the message ‘One God’ and the ‘Eternal Truth’. The students celebrated Gurpurab by decorating the Khanda symbol and relishing the kadha prasad.

Guru Nanak Jayanti also referred to as Gurpurab is one of the holiest events in Sikhism. It is the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Ji. This celebration occurs on a full moon in the month of Kartik. The students of Class 3 celebrated Gurpurab by making the Khanda symbols and writing slogans, they also participated in a Nagar kirtan. Kadha Prasad was distributed and some students narrated stories related to Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The Gurpurab celebrations commenced with the ‘Shabad kirtan’ ‘Sat Guru Nanak Pargatiya ’. The festival was celebrated by the students of Class 4 with great pride, honour and respect. The spiritual ambience of devotional ‘shabads’ and ‘Ardaas’ sparked a religious flavour in the air. Students were explained the life history of Guru Nanak Dev ji. The message that teachings of Guru Nanak Dev are of great significance to mankind and can help in transforming the society. The children made posters of a Gurudwara with water colours. They enjoyed the Nagar Kirtan and the kadha Prasad which was distributed among the children.

Guru Nanak Jayanti, also referred to as Gurupurab, is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The students of Class 5 celebrated Gurupurab with great zeal and fervor. The children spoke about Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life and his teachings. The gaiety and sanctity of the occasion was doubled at the time of celebration when children sang shabads on this auspicious day and also took a procession emulating a Nagar Kirtan. They made beautiful pictures of the 5 K’s Kadha, Kachera, Kanga, Kirpan and Kesh. Teachers explained the importance of these in Sikhism. At the end Kadha Prasad was distributed among all the students and teachers.

Children’s Day Celebration
Childhood is a blessing and the most fun filled phase of life. To mark the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Children’s Day was celebrated on 14th November by the students and teachers. Teacher’s took this unique opportunity to give a brief insight into the life of Chacha Nehru and his special connection towards children. To make this day a memorable and fun filled one, a Mini Sports Day was organized for the kids. The children were taken out of their classrooms to the lush green lawn, where they enjoyed a balloon tapping race with great enthusiasm. The Lawn area had a jaw dropping decoration of balloons. It was an unstoppable day and the children utilized this liberty and played games and on the swings to their heart’s content. Children also relished candy on this special day.




Children’s Day is celebrated each year on the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, i.e. 14th November. It is a special day which is observed to promote the rights and education of Children. The Class 3 students were very excited to celebrate this day. In a craft activity they made a red rose using origami sheets. Some students also spoke about Chacha Nehru and talked about his great achievements.

Children’s Day is celebrated across India to create awareness regarding the importance of education for children. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru fondly called as ‘Chacha Nehru’ advocated for children to have an all-rounded education that would build a better society in the future. Nehruji considered children as the real strength of the nation and the foundation of the society. To commemorate the special, students of Class 4 made a poster of Nehru Ji inscribing it with slogans on his life. The day ended with full of enthusiasm and joy.

The most awaited Children’s Day was celebrated by Class 5 students on November 14th in all its radiance, drive, and liveliness. The day was a unique one for the children to come to School in their best colourful attire. The children also took part in the creative talent competition giving vent to their imagination through character depiction of ‘Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji’. The students were happy and enjoyed the day.
