Celebrating World Health Day
World Health Day was celebrated by the students of Class I to promote self-care among students. Students raised the slogan “Health is wealth”. They were explained about the benefits of eating green vegetables for healthy life, good and personal hygiene, hand washing and drinking more water. The children were especially made aware of the precautions that have to be taken by them during this pandemic. Kids also recited poems to celebrate this day.

“It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver.”
On 7th of April, 2021 the students of Class II celebrated “World Health Day”. The theme of World Health Day 2021 was building a better and healthier world for everyone. The celebrations began with the teachers giving a small introduction about good health, and how it is being affected or degraded and how can we live a healthy and sound life. In addition to this, students made beautiful posters on WORLD HEALTH DAY and spoke on how to stay healthy. The key points on which they spoke were the importance of health, eating healthy foods, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, urbanization, healthy cities with better life. Also, they added ways of how good health adds life to years and how to protect their health from the adverse effects of climatic change. The idea of celebrating in the School is to teach students to live in a healthy, safe and sound environment.

World Health day was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and zeal with the students of Class III on virtual platform by explaining to them the importance of good health. The Famous saying “The Greatest wealth is Health” was further emphasized on when they watched a video, discussed one healthy habit, and presented their creativity in their drawings depicting Slogans. Adding on they discussed their ideas like drinking plenty of water, eating healthy food, wearing neat and tidy clothes

On 7th April, 2021 the School celebrated World Health Day. The theme of the Day was maintaining Good & Sound Health. The event began with an address by the students of Class IV. The key points highlighted in the talk were that we should improve sanitation hygiene in order to create a healthier environment and reduce the risk for disease exposure & infection. Students made beautiful Posters depicting benefits of good & personal hygiene, keeping our body clean, benefits of immunization, hand washing, drinking more water & eating green for good health Throughout the day, a well-developed involvement of pupils was discerned. Through this they learnt how to keep themselves healthy.

“Eat healthy Eat Good” this famous diction was explained to the students of Class V while celebrating World Health Day. A Power point presentation was shown to the students on a virtual platform by which they were informed about the importance of health. Students were advised to eat healthy food and avoid junk food. They were exhorted to follow a healthy lifestyle like regular exercise, meditation and yoga to stay fit. They made beautiful posters depicting slogans.

Baisakhi Celebrations

“Amidst the rich harvest, across the lush greenery, Baisakhi has arrived.”
On 13th of April, 2021 the students of Class II celebrated the festival of “Baisakhi” (also known as “Vaisakhi” in Punjabi). The teacher first shed some light on the importance of this festival by informing about the significance of the Sikh’s New Year. Although, originally a harvest festival, the establishment of Khalsa on this day in 1699 led it to becoming the most prominent festival in Sikhism. This was followed by a small decoration by the student in their houses. The students wore traditional dresses. The students also helped their mothers in the kitchen to make “Lassi” and “Kadah Prasad”. They enjoyed a lot. They also danced to the Beats of Punjabi Dhol which was the highlight of the day and each student enjoyed doing this.

Baisakhi is one of the prime festivals of the Hindus and Sikhs and is celebrated to mark the harvesting of the first summer crop. It is celebrated in the month of April and the students of Class III celebrated this day on the virtual platform with the same zeal and enthusiasm when they watched a video. Adding on they even prepared yummy sweet rice with the help of their parents to add sweetness to this day. Dressed in ethnic Punjabi attire and the children spoke about the festival.

Baisakhi, the harvest festival, was virtually celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm by the students of Class IV. The children were explained about the importance of the festival by showcasing Punjabi culture. Dhol decorating activity in the art file was also done. Students were totally involved in the festive spirit. They were apprised about the significance of the festival. The idea of celebrating various festivals in the class is to teach students to live in harmony and peace.

The Baisakhi festival is celebrated on April 13th. The people of North India thank God for a good harvest. This year the festival of Baisakhi was celebrated with lots of joy and enthusiasm by the students of Class V on a virtual platform. The students were informed that the farmers are jubilant over the festival as for them Baisakhi marks the time for harvest of Rabi crop. Students prepared beautiful drawing related to Baisakhi.

Celebrating Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti
Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated by the students of Class I with great zeal. They were explained that the special day is celebrated to mark birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar who wrote Constitution of our country. The children were informed about the efforts done by him in upliftment of people of the lower castes. Some students spoke about the Father of the our Constitution.

Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti was celebrated by the students of Class IV with great zeal and enthusiasm. The celebration started with a brief description of Shri Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar. The children were informed that he is also known as the father of the Constitution of India and he was the first Law Minister of Independent India. They were asked to speak about Baba Saheb Bhim Rao Ambedkar.

Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated by the people of India to remember his Dr. Ambedkar’s immense contribution for the poor people of India. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is the father of the Indian Constitution, as he drafted the Constitution of our Nation. He was a great Human Rights activist who was born on 14th April, 1891. He organized a social movement for the people using slogans “Educate- Agitate- Organize” aiming to eradicate the caste system in India. The students of Class V made beautiful posters and wrote slogans about Dr. B R Ambedkar to celebrate this day.

Celebrating Earth Day
“The Earth: Love it or leave it. Pollution is not a solution. One Earth, One Chance. Save the Planet.”
On 22nd April 2021 , the students of Class II, celebrated “Earth Day”. The Teacher explained the purpose of celebrating the day through a presentation. The children were informed that on this special day many people work towards raising awareness about critical issues that our mother earth is facing but it is also becoming a popular time for many communities to gather together to clean up the litter, plant trees or simply reflect on the beauty of the nature . After this small interaction the students were allowed to showcase their skills. The students made props, decorated their backgrounds, made posters, wore costumes and recited poems. Each student did amazing and fantastic work, and enjoyed the activities.

Go Green and make our Earth a beautiful place to live.
Earth day is celebrated every year on 22nd April and was celebrated by the students of Class III virtually. Students recited short poems, and spoke about Earth Day celebrations, sang songs and shared their ideas of making Earth Day not only on this particular day but on each day. They also discussed the ideas of keeping the Earth clean and green through their craft and by watching a video related to this.

The students of Class IV celebrated “Earth Day” virtually on 22nd April with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitize the students towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root level. To mark this day and to emphasize upon the need to save trees, all the children were involved in speaking slogans like “SAVE EARTH” and “GO GREEN”.
