    Celebrating Diwali

    To Celebrate Diwali – the festival of Lights with the students of Class 1, the Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, that the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness.The students also made and decorated the diyas. They were also apprised about the hazardous effects of bursting crackers. They were told to celebrate pollution free and eco–friendly Diwali. Both the Teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.

    The popular festival of Diwali was celebrated with gaiety and joy by the students of Class 2. On this day, the children were shown a video on Deepavali. The students first painted the diyas and then decorated them by using their own creativity with the help of kotas, mirrors, ribbons etc. The students enjoyed decorating the diyas and the celebrations.

    Celebrating Children’s Day

    Children’s day is celebrated every year on 14th November. It is the birthday anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru – a celebration of childhood and Nehru Ji’s love for children. The teachers of Class 2 showed the children a video on Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Some students spoke about the special occasion. The main purpose to celebrate the day was to make the children aware about how cherished they are.

    Children’s Day was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm by students of Class 3 on the virtual platform. The students watched a video on the life of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and also danced to  children’s day songs. Some students also took the initiative and spoke about Jawaharlal Nehru Ji to add wonders to the day.

    On 12th November 2021, the students of Class 4 celebrated Children’s day with excitement and joy. They enthusiastically displayed their creative instincts and made beautiful cards and recited poems related to the celebration. The children also danced on various songs enjoying the celebrations to the fullest.

    Celebrating Guru Nanak Jayanti

    Guru Nanak Jayanti was celebrated on 17th November by the students of Class 2 with religious fervour. One child dressed as one of the 5 Pyaare chanted the Japji Sahib Shabad. In an art activity related to the celebrations, the students made the “Ek Onkar” symbol and then decorated the symbol with beans.

    Guru Nanak Jayanti is regarded as one of the most significant festivals in the Sikh religion, and is celebrated across the country with festivities and lights. The Sikhs celebrate Gurpurab with a lot of enthusiasm. A Nagar Kirtan, which brings together people from different communities in the form of processions, is also organised. This day was celebrated with full zeal with the students of Class 3. The children were shown a video on  the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and stories related to his teachings were also narrated to them. Further to make this day wonderful, the students made beautiful posters depicting the festival.

    Guru Nanak Jayanti, one of the most important festivals for the followers of Sikhism, is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The students of Class 4 celebrated Gurpurab with great zeal and fervour. The children spoke about Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s life and his teachings. The sanctity of the occasion was doubled when the children sang shabads on this auspicious day. They also made beautiful posters related to the celebration.
